In addition to traditional gameplay, the use of blockchain technology in "Synergy of Serra" gives players the ability to truly own their cards as digital assets. The game is open to all players and does not require any upfront costs. Players can also use non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to enhance their gameplay experience. Working together through Zoom, these diverse teams forged new relationships that strengthen the local arts ecosystem and leave behind powerful performances for the screen that speak to the unique challenges of our time."Synergy of Serra" is a free-to-play collectible card game that allows players to compete for prizes using a standard deck of cards. Teams of alumni artists, supported by faculty mentors, worked with current students to create original performance works connected to strong socio-political themes and distinct performance genres. The synergy of the festival lies in interdisciplinary, intergenerational collaboration. There will be a 30 minute conversation after the performance via Zoom join us and the artists and discuss the works, hosted by Roberto Varea.
